Samsung Series 7 Chronos, Series 7 Ultra announced ahead of CES 2013
Ahead of CES 2013, Samsung has announced enhanced version of its Series 7 Chronos and a brand new Series 7 Ultra Ultrabook. Both laptops boast powerful specs under the hood and will be shown at the CES 2013. The Series 7 Ultra is one of the ultrabook series Samsung has planned while the Series Chronos has a got a slight design change with a lighter body and a boost in processing power.
David Song, Senior Vice President of IT and Mobile Communications said,“In 2013, we will continue to focus on innovation delivering products that fit into customer lifestyles while maintaining Samsung’s high-end design and performance standards. The new Series 7 Chronos and Ultra products are just two examples of what you can expect to see from us throughout the year.”
In terms of specs, the Samsung 7 Chronos is powered by a a quad-core Intel i7 3635QM 2.4GHz processor and boasts RAMaccelerator, which gives it up to a 150-percent speed boost. The laptop sports 15.6-inch ten-finger multitouch display with full HD resolution, 4GB of RAM ( compatible up to 16GB) and a bunch of ports that include two USB 3.0 ports, two USB 2.0 ports, HDMI, VGA, headphone out and microphone in. The entire unit is packed in a aluminum body and weighs 5.18lbs. The laptop gets its juicy power from a battery better for 11 hours.
On the other hand, the Samsung Series 7 Ultra ultrabook comes with a a 13.3-inch display boasting full HD resolution and ten-finger multitouch support. The device is powered by optional Intel i5 or an Intel i7 processor and packs AMD HD8570M graphics, up to a 256GB SSD and ports which include one USB 3.0, 2 USB 2.0, HDMI, mini VGA, headphone/out and microphone/in. The Series 7 Ultra also features a decent backlit keyboard as well as a Slim Security Slot.
Anyway, pricing and release date for the Series 7 Chronos and Ultra are yet to be announced, but stay tuned we will keep you posted.
