While at&t expanding its Windows Phone 8 offerings, including with high-end Nokia smartphones, the largest carrier in the US doesn’t really want to stay behind and see. According to new report, a high-end Nokia Lumia device dubbed laser will be heading to the Verizon late this year. The report comes from Verge which cites the source familiar with the carrier’s plan.
The name Laser seems to be a codename and could be changed when it comes to the market. The report says that the device will be yet another variant of the Lumia 920.
Anyway, there is no specification details for the device but the Snapdragon S4 1.5Ghz processor, 1GB of RAM, 4G capabilities, 720p 4.5-inch touchscreen display and 32GB of storage should be found in the device.
Ever since Nokia announced its Windows Phones, it has kept a close relationship with the at&t and now it seems like the company is going to further push its Windows Phone 8 devices, giving tight competition to other companies out there. Anyway, it should be a happy news for those Nokia fans among Big Red customers who don’t want to change the carrier for high-end Nokia WP8 smartphone.
