Alcatel One Touch Snap and Snap LTE unveiled
Alcatel has more than what we expected for the MWC 2013. After announcing the One Touch Idol X, the company has added two more devices to its lineup. Dubbed Alcatel One Touch Snap and One Touch Snap LTE, looks nice in design and has a shiny casing with wide-screen of qHD resolution.
In terms of specs, One Touch Snap is a mid-end device powered by a undisclosed 1.2GHz quad-core processor and sports a 4.5” display with qHD resolution, 1GB of RAM and 4GB of memory with microSD card slot for further expansion of the memory.
The smartphone boasts Dragontail Glass for protection and oleophobic coating to prevent fingerprints. The smartphone has a 8MP autofocus camera with LED flash that can capture videos at 720p, and a 1.3MP on the front for video call with same 720p recording.
The Alcatel One Touch Snap also has usual connectivity features and measures 130.3 x 67 x 8.99mm. The smartphone runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and packs a 1800mAh battery.
On the other hand, the Alcatel One Touch Snap LTE as the name suggests is its twin brother with LTE connectivity and a little difference in specs. The Snap LTE features a bit larger 4.65” display with a lower FWVGA (480 x 854 pixels) resolution, but the device has still got the Dragontail Glass and oleophobic coating.
The One Touch Snap LTE is powered by a 1.4GHz dual-core Snapdragon CPU and sports an 8MP camera with full HD recording unlike the One Touch Snap and a 2MP front facing camera . The mobile phone packs a bit beefier 2200mAh battery inside and measures 134 x 69.6 x 10.9 mm, that is a bit thicker than the regular but you get a beefier battery right?.
Certainly the device has usual connectivity features such as Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4 and quadband GSM in addition to the LTE for faster internet experience.
However, the release date and price for both device are still unknown, but According to Alcatel, the Snap and Snap LTE will hit the market in April and July 2013.
