HP Pavilion 14 Chromebook launched; Specs and Price
Finally HP has also introduced its own Chromebook. The new Chromebook is a 14-inch system dubbed HP Pavilion 14. It seems like companies are slowly getting interested in Chrome OS, after the recent announcement of the Google to push it via educational sectors. Recently Lenovo also announced its first Chromebook named ThinkPad X131e.
The new HP Pavilion 14 Chromebook is powered by a 1.1GHz Intel Celeron 847 CPU and sports a 14-inch display with a decent 1,366 x 768 resolution, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of solid-state drive. The users also get a 100GB of Google Drive storage at free of cost for the first two year.
For connectivity, there are HDMI output, three USB 2.0 sockets, Ethernet jack and an SD reader as well as an HP TrueVision HD Webcam. The Chromebook comes with built-in Trusted Platform Module for security that prevents unauthorized access to sensitive data.
The HP Pavilion Chromebook weighs under 4 lbs and has been priced at $330 that is a bit more than Samsung and Acer C7 Chromebook, cost $249 and $199 respectively.
