LG announces Optimus F7 and F5 LTE Smartphones
Getting closer to the MWC, more new devices are coming to the light. After the most anticipated HTC One, LG has introduced its brand new series LG Optimus F5 and Optimus F7 Android smartphones and both are LTE powered as promised by LG before that it would be focusing on LTE devices.
Spec-wise, high-end model of the two is LG Optimus F7 that features a 4.7” True HD IPS 720p screen with 312ppi density and comes powered by a 1.5GHz dual-core processor and 2GB of RAM. The smartphone also has an 8MP camera on the rear side and 8GB of internal storage with a microSD card slot for further expansion of the storage. The smartphone measures 131.7 x 68.2 x 9.6mm.
On the other hand, the LG Optimus F5 is powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core processor and 1GB RAM. The device sports a 4.3” IPS LCD screen of qHD resolution with 256ppi desnity. The LG Optimus F5 features 5MP camera, 8GB of built-in storage and microSD card slot and measures 126.0 x 64.5 x 9.3mm.
Both smartphones have relatively decent batteries inside, 2,540mAh powering the LG Optimus F7 while F5 has 2,150mAh. Both devices have LTE connectivity for faster internet experience as well as other usual connectivity features.
On the software side, the LG Optimus F7 and F5 run on Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean and will also offer some advanced features like QSlide multitasking, you can run two apps on the screen with ability to resize, move and change the capacity of those apps and live Zooming that lets you pinch Zoom while watching videos.
LG CEO, Jong-seok Park said that “With adoption of LTE expected to explode in 2013, we are sending a clear message to con-sumers with the Optimus F Series that LTE isn’t just for heavy content users and techies anymore. It’s for everyone.”
According to LG, Opimus F5 will be launched in Europe in Q2, followed by F7, while an exact release date and pricing for both smartphones stay mystery. Anyway, hope those details will be revealed soon, and you will certainly meet the devices at the MWC 2013.
