ZTE announces Grand Memo and ZTE Open at MWC 2013

ZTE still has more things for you, even though it had introduced its new line like Grand S at the CES 2013 last month . The company has introduced two new devices at the MWC, dubbed ZTE Grand Memo  phablet and a tiny ZTE Open. The Grand Memo is the high-end of two with Android OS , while the ZTE Open is an entry-level device with new Firefox OS.

ZTE Grand Memo

The  ZTE Grand Memo is a huge device with 5.7″ display on board and has a slim profile at 8.5mm thick, yet the company has managed to put a beefy 3,200mAh battery inside it. The phablet could be an alternative for those who are looking for a huge device other than many high-end devices out there like Galaxy Note, certainly this device can’t stan next to Galaxy Note though.

Specs-wise, the device is powered by a  1.5GHz CPU on Snapdragon 600 chipset and features 720p display, Adreno 330 GPU,  and a 13MP on the rear with capability to shoot videos at 1080p.

on the connectivity side, the Grand Memo has dual-band Wi-Fi with 802.11ac support  and LTE Cat 3.

When it comes to pricing and release date, ZTE is yet to reveal the details, but expected to hit the market sooner than later.

ZTE Open

ZTE  had already confirmed it planned to launch Firefox OS devices, and here it is as tiny ZTE Open. the ZTE Open is powered by 1GHz single-core processor and sports a 3.5” HVGA screen, 256MB RAM and 3.2MP camera on the back.

The phone is coming with the power of HTML 5, making it easier for developers to build apps for the  new platform. For connectivity, there are Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth 2.1 and A-GPS with Nokia HERE maps. Unfortunately, price and release date for this device is yet to be announced.
