Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Vs LG G2 Vs Sony Xperia Z1 Vs Nokia Lumia 1020
Samsung Galaxy Note 3, Sony Xperia Z1, LG G2 and Nokia Lumia 1020 are the high-end devices announced by major manufacturers recently. While the Galaxy Note 3 is a phablet which stands between a phone and tablet, other three devices are smartphones with huge displays. Two of these devices, Galaxy Note 3 and Xperia Z1 were just announced a few days ago and the LG G2 in August while the Lumia 1020 was announced back in July 2013 and has been out there for a while, boasting of its 41 MP camera on the back. Each of these devices has their own unique features and pros and cons.
Design-wise, each one them look very different, the 6″ Galaxy Note 3 is entirely different story, featuring stitched protective leather cover which keeps the device neat from dust and spill. The Galaxy Note 3 has usual round corners and very thin bezel and back body covered with stitched leather, not only that, the device is a phablet boasting S Pen functionality. Sony Xperia Z1 has its OmniBalance design like its predecessor, with its tempered glass and aluminum frame, the device is shiny and looks premium at the first glance, moreover, the Xperia Z1 is dust and waterproof and has IP rating, which means it can survive longer under water but the device should be bulkier in the hand and no that comfortable to use. LG G2 on the other hand, features a plastic body and curved back panel and corners, but this one could be more comfortable and compact in the hand than the Xperia Z1. Finally the Lumia 1020, having traditional Lumia form factor and polycarbonate body stands out from others here with a screen size of less than 5 inches, but as “a camera phone”, the device has got a bump on the back to host its massive 41 MP camera unlike the Xperia Z1 which also boast about its camera features. Moreover, Nokia Lumia 1020 is a Windows Phone 8 device, having Live tile UI while others devices here are Android -powered.
It is really a bit tough to decide between these devices based on its specs and features as each of them certainly has impressive features and specs. If you are looking for camera phone, then you may go for the Lumia 1020 or the Xperia Z1, and if you don’t want to use both tablet and a smartphone but would like to use between them offering kinda feeling of both and camera features are not that important once the device can capture pretty good images and videos, go for the Galaxy Note 3 or LG G2 which is not as big as Galaxy Note 3 though. Anyway, take a look at the Spec to spec comparison and feel free to drop your thoughts in the box below.
