Lenovo announces Vibe X with 5′ Full HD Screen and 1.5GHz Quad-core CPU
We have yet another beast at the IFA 2013, the Chinese manufacturer Lenovo has unveiled its new Android smartphone dubbed Vibe X, a premium device with a 5-inch screen like many high-end devices out there. Lenovo seems to be trying hard to compete high-end devices like Galaxy S4 and Apple iPhone. The new device is coming after its recent release of flagship K900, and the Vibe X expands that “premium smartphone portfolio”.
Lenovo Vibe X is powered by a a quad-core MTK 6589T 1.5GHz processor and sports a huge display at 5 inch with a 1920×1080 pixels resolution. The IPS panel will offer a whopping 440 pixel density and a wide viewing angle. The screen is protected by a Corning Gorilla Glass 3 and is scratch resistant.
The smartphone has 2GB of RAM inside and 16 GB of internal storage. 13 seems to be the standard number for MP count on camera of high-end devices nowadays, Lenovo Vibe X is not different and there is a 5MP front-facing camera for video call.
The smartphone is running on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS. The device is as thin as 6.9 mm and weighs just 121 grams, that is pretty impressive for such a huge device.
Unfortunately, Lenovo hasn’t revealed any details on pricing or release date for the device. The device won’t be on sale in Europe, but other markets like India, Indonesia, Russia, the Philippines, Vietnam, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, Thailand, and the United Arab Emirates. According to Lenovo, the device will be launched in China in October.
