Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro unveiled at IFA 2013
Lenovo introduced a series of devices at the IFA 2013 and among them is Yoga 2 Pro built around the original Yoga laptop but with more high-end elements inside. The new Yoga 2 laptop is an ultra portable laptop with 360 hinge. The laptop offers four modes, tent, stand, tablet and laptop.
The Yoga 2 Pro is powered by Up to 4th generation Intel Core i7 U series processors and features sharp and clear 13.3-inh QHD+ display with resolution of 3200×1800 pixels and a 350 nit brightness. The display is also multi-touch. The keyboard is backlit-powered and will be easy to use even in low light or even darkness with the help of shiny backlit feature.
The device is coming with a Integrated Intel HD Graphics and will be offered with a RAM up to 8GB DDR3L on board and you have an optional 28/256/512 GB SSD if you want to increase overall speed and performance.
In terms of ports, there are 1 USB 3.0, 1 USB 2.0, micro HDMI-out, 2-in-1 (SD/MMC) card reader and Audio Combo Jack. For wireless connectivity, there is 802.11BGN WiFi and Bluetooth 4.0 which should make life a lot easier.
If you want to have a video chat with your friends and family members, the Yoga 2 Pro has built-in webcam which offers 720p HD video.
The new yoga 2 Pro is promised to give you UP to 6 hours full HD playback @50 nits. In terms of OS, the new Lenovo Yoga 2Pro is running on Windows 8.1 Pro and other software features as well such as the one to help choose optimal mode depending on the app. The device is also coming with a Voice Control app as well as Motion Control 2.0, their own set of gestures to help with photo galleries, presentations, books etc…
All these features are housed into a body of 0.61 inch thick and measures 12.99 x 8.66 inch width and height and weighs in at 3.06 pounds. The new Yoga 2 Pro release date is in October and will be offered for a starting price of $1,099.99.
