ZTE launches Nubia Z5S and Nubia Z5S Mini

ZTE has added two new smartphones to its portfolio. THe devices are called ZTE Nubia Z5S and the ZTE Nubia Z5S Mini. While the Nubia Z5S is company’s next flagship with high-end specs under the hood, the ZTE Nubia Z5S mini is a compact and mid-end smartphone.

In terms of specs, the Nubia Z5S comes powered by the 2.3 GHz Krait 400 CPU coupled with 2 GB of RAM. The device sports a 1080p Sharp IGZO display and on the back lies a 13 MP camera with OIS and capability of shooting 4K videos and slow motions videos at the rate of 120fps. On the front, there is a pretty impressive 5MP camera. The smartphone runs on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean and packs a 2,300mAh battery that should be enough for your all day activities on the device.

When it comes to pricing, the 3G model of the ZTE Nubia Z5S  with 16GB internal memory is priced at CNY1,999 while the LTE version with 32 GB storage will be offered for CNY3,456.

On the other hand, the ZTE Nubia Z5S mini comes with a 1.7 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and features a 13 MP rear camera which lacks the OIS technology though. The device will be offered with two storage options, 16 or 32 GB but it doesn’t support microSD card if you want to expand the memory further. For connectivity, the device supports the LTE as well as other usual features. The device is also thin at 7.6 mm thickness.

16 GB ZTE Nubia Z5s mini will cost you CNY1,499 (about $246) and 32 GB LTE variant can be bought for CNY2,345 (about $348). ZTE hasn’t revealed anything about global launch of the device.
