Alcatel / TCL announces Idol X+ Smartphone with Octa-core CPU in China

In the past months, Alcatel introduced many devices from smartphones to phablets with interesting features. From its aggressiveness,  it shows that the company is in all manner trying to steal a pretty good share of smartphone market from mainstream manufacturers. Now the company has introduced yet another beast, Alcatel Idol X+ with an impressive specs inside.

TCL ( Chinese manufacturer which owns the brand Alcatel and uses it outside the China) announced the new smartphone with full specs details and release date.

The TCL Idol X+ is powered by a 2GHz octa-core MT6592 chipset and sports 5-inch 1080p IPS display, 2GB  RAM and 13 MP camera on the back. Powering all these features is a 2,500 mAh battery that is pretty beefy compared to  its previous model Idol X smartphone.

TCL has also added something they call is Boom band, which is a Bluetooth-enabled wristband. The Boom band can be used as a proximity alarm in case you lost your device or stolen  and it also lets you track your performance with fitness applications. The Bloom band will also work with other Bluetooth applications which utilities the wearables.

Impressive thing about the TCL Idol X+ is its pricing. Despite such a high-end specs and features,  the Idol X+  will come with a price tag of just CN¥1,999(  $330 ), that is unlocked and no need to sign a contract.  Alcatel Idol X+ will go on sale starting January 5th and pre-order for the device has already started.
