OCZ launches Vertex 460 SSD with 19nm nand flash

Toshiba took over the Vertex after its bankruptcy recently,  since then, the company seems to have worked on new devices. Now the company has launched its new SSD to the market, named OCS Vertex 460 for budget users who are not ready to compromise on performance. The new OCZ drives are coming with full set of management tools and will be offered in trio of sizes in memory.

The new Vertex  460 utilizes Barefoot 3 M10 controller combined with 19nm MLC nand. The SSD can read 545 MB/s  and write at a speed of 525 MB/s . New SSD can also deliver a random  90,000 IOPS 4K  write and 95,000 4K IOPS random read performance. The SSD also offers AES-256 encryption with its proprietary Barefoot 3 M10 controller.

The company says that the SSDs have ability to  deliver 20GB of host write per day  and is reliable with 3-year warranty period. The model  comes in different storage capacity that include 120GB, 240GB, and 480GB. Despite the memory differences, all models are 7mm thick and will be bundled with software and a desktop adapter. Unfortunately pricing for the new OCZ Vertex 460 is not available but look around you may be able to grab it soon.
