Photos of alleged Xperia Z1 successor spotted; features thin bezel, 5.2" display

Yesterday we reported about the upcoming LG G3 Android flagship, in which we  mentioned about a wild cat from Sony that would apparently feature a 5.2″ display. Today we have got alleged images of this device. courtesy of XDA member iRimas, images of upcoming Sony Xperia Z1 successor and rumored specs are finally here.

Till now there is no hint what Sony would call this device but all what we know is it carries a model number D6503 and could be the success to Sony Xperia Z1. But the device renders show comparatively slim smartphone with thin bezel and if you widen your eyes, you can see the device has almost same design features that Xperia range shares, even the rear camera is on the same top left corner of the device.

Eager to know what is inside of this smartphone?, well, according to the leak, the alleged Sony Xperia smartphone apparently features 5.2″ display and runs on an unspecified new UI atop Android 4.3 Jelly Bean. Still not KitKat, but this could be for testing and actual device might come with Android KitKat right out of the box. According to XDA user, the device is not stable and UI keeps crashing, indicating the device could be a prototype.

Camera on the back is apparently the same 20.7 MP 1/2.3″ that we get on Xperia Z1 and Z1 Compact, while the model number D6503 indicates this device as replacement of  Sony Xperia ZL. Unlike Xperia Z1, the device in question sports a three large grilles on the bottom and microUSB slot and SIM slot are on the left. There is a microSD card slot on the right while other features such as camera shutter button, power button, magnetic pin connectors, headphone jack and LED notification light  are placed as usual.

Anyway, if this photos are true, we should hear more about the upcoming Sony Xperia “?” soon including other specification details. We will keep you posted.
