Samsung NX30 Smart Camera announced with new S-line lenses
Along with the Samsung Galaxy Camera 2, the Samsung has also added NX30 to its digital camera line. The new Samsung NX30 is feature-rich, coming with company’s SMART 3.0 software which lets you directly upload images to Dropbox, Flickr, and social networks.
In terms of specifications, the Samsung NX30 Smart camera is powered by a APS-C CMOS sensor, boasting Hybrid Auto Focus, up to 9fps continuous shooting, and an ISO range of 100-25600. On the back has a swivel AMOLED display and a tilting 1024 x 768 electronic viewfinder, that can be tilted up to 80-degrees. The new camera is also offered with two new lenses that include a flagship 16-50mm F2.0-28 S ED OIS lens and 16-50mm F3.5-5.6 Power Zoom ED OIS lens. The Samsung NX30 has up to a 1/8000s shutter speed, 1080/60p video recording and comes with both optical and digital image stabilization.
The 16-50mm F2.0-28 S ED OIS lens is designed for long-lasting with Splash and dust-proof metal body. Samsung says it marks beginning of a new “S” line of high-performance lenses. On the other hand, the 16-50mm F3.5-5.6 Power Zoom ED OIS lens is smallest wide-angle zoom that the company offers for its NX range. There is also an additional flash called SEF-580A which offers portable head and 1/8000s reaction time.
For connectivity, there are WiFi b/g/n, email, and Direct Beam support which automatically sends the images to the cloud and social networking. Samsung has also added NFC support that helps you quickly send photos between you smartphones and NX30 camera.There is also a new Group Share feature which lets you simultaneously share photos with up to four devices. The camera also offers Remote Viewfinder Pro that enable your smartphone or tablet to act as a remote control for the camera.
For storage, the Samsung NX30 camera supports SD/SDHC/SDXC card. And ports include 3.5mm microphone input and HDMI port for high-definition live streaming of videos.
Finally pricing and availability. Unfortunately, Samsung hasn’t announced any specific release date or pricing for the NX30 digital camera, but according to the company, the Samsung NX30 will go on sale later in 2014. The camera will be showcased at the CES 2014 next week.
