Acer Liquid E3 and Z4 announced; Specs and Price
Even though Acer is not a big name in the smartphone market, company has so far introduced a series smartphones in the market and it seems that company is still confident of getting a grip. Ahead of MEC 2014, Acer has introduced two new smartphones on its liquid series, dubbed Acer Liquid E3, high-end of the two and Liquid Z4, a mid-end android smartphone.
In terms of specs, the Acer Liquid E3 is powered by a quad-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz and 1GB of RAM. The smartphone sports a 4.7-inch HD IPS display with 720 x 1280 pixels of resolution, a standard 13MP rear camera, a 2MP front camera with a front-facing LED flash and 4GB of internal memory.
The smartphone will be running on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean and Acer has also added some extra features like Snap Note aimed at presenters, and AcerFloat that lets you have multiple floating windows. The smartphone is priced at €199 and release date is set to April 2014.
On the other hand, the Acer Liquid Z4 is actually a low-mid end device with a dual-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz. The smartphone is relatively compact with a 4-inch display of 480 x 800 resolution. The Acer Liquid Z4 also packs a 5MP rear-facing camera, 512 MB of RAM and 4 GB of built-in storage. The smartphone will be running on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean.
The Acer Liquid Z4 price is as low as €99 and will be released in April. These smartphones are for those who are looking for an alternative Android device at low cost.
