Alcatel Fire C, E, S, 7, and ZTE Open C and II Firefox OS Devices announced
So Alcatel and ZTE have joined the Firefox and introduced a host of Firefox OS-based smartphone at MWC 2014. The smartphones include Alcatel Fire C, Fire E, Fire S, Fire 7, and ZTE Open C and Open II. The smartphones range from low to mid-end and will be running on Mozilla’s latest t Firefox OS 1.3.
The first one Alcatel Fire S, is a mid-end smartphone with a decent specs including Category 4 LTE support. The smartphone is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core CPU sports a 4.5” qHD IPS display, 8MP camera and even NFC.
Next in line is the Alcatel Fire C. It packs a 3.5” HVGA display, 1.2 GHz dual-core CPU, and VGA camera.
Next one is Alcatel Fire E that stands immediate below the Fire S will come powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core CPU and sports 4.5” qHD display, and 5MP snapper.
Finally Alcatel Fire 7 tablet sporting 7-inch qHD display, 1.2GHz dual-core CPU, and a duo of VGA cameras.
ZTE has two devices and both are low-end devices. First one is ZTE Open C which features a 4” WVGA (800×480) display and will be powered by 1.2GHz Snapdragon 200 SoC and 512MB RAM. The smartphone also has a 3 megapixel camera and 3G connectivity. The device has 1400mAh battery.
On the other hand, the ZTE Open II is powered by 1.2GHz dual-core CPU and 256MB of RAM. The smartphone packs a 2GB of built-in memory, 1,150mAh battery, and 2MP camera. The device also has 3G connectivity.
ZTE intends to launch ship more than one million Firefox OS smartphones this year and you will see a a 4.5-inch Firefox smartphone by 2015.
