Huawei Ascend G6 & MediaPad M1 announced; Specs & Price
At MWC 2014 Huawei has introduced two new affordable devices with LTE Cat 4 support. The devices dubbed Huawei Ascend G6 smartphone and MediaPad M1 tablet. Both can reach up to 150Mbps of download speed.
Huawei Ascend G6 takes after the design cues of Huawei’s current flagship, the Ascend P6 but there are some noticeable changes in the body.
In terms of specs, the smartphone comes with a 4.5-inch, 540×960 pixel resolution qHD display and 245 ppi pixel density. The device is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core processor on Cortex-A9 based HiSilicon chipset and sports an 8 MP f/2.0 camera with Sony’s IMX134 sensor on the back, a 5-MP front-facing unit with unknown aperture. even though the device is touted to be 4G, the first version to arrive will be 3G. For connectivity, the device also features NFC as well as other usual connectivity features and packs an adequate 2,000mAh battery. The Huawei Ascend G6 with LTE support has a moderate price tag at €249 and will be released in Q1 2014.
Nex up is the Huawei MediaPad M1, an 8-inch tablet with a 1,280 x 800 IPS display. The tablet is powered by 1.6GHz quad-core chip and sports a 1-MP front camera, a 5-MP rear camera and 4,800mAh battery which the company claims to last up to 8 hours that is pretty good to hear. The tablet also features a stereo front-facing speakers.
The Huawei MediaPad M1 is impressively thin at 7.9mm and will be released in various countries in Q1 2014 an exact release date is not available though. The tablet is priced at €299.
