Finally Huawei is also jumping on the wearable bandwagon with its new TalkBand B1. The company announced its new device at the MWC 2014 along with a series of other devices including tablets and smartphones. Unlike Samsung’s Galaxy Gear, the Talkband B1 is a Bluetooth headset and a “smartband” at the same time. how is that?.
Well, the Bluetooth headset is popped out to allow user to make calls and then pop it back. The device features a tiny, 1.4” bendable OLED display, fitness tracking functions and works with both Android and iOS devices. The device with the display looks more like the Nike FuelBand.
Packing 90mAh battery can last up to 6 days and talk time on earpiece is promised an impressive 7 hours. The device also supports NFC that makes syncing and pairing with devices easy. And the wristband also offers a step counter, tracking for traveled distance, and amount of calories burned as well as tracking your sleep which lets you put the device to wake you up at the best time.
The Huawei TalkBand B1 release is expected to launch in in Japan, the Middle East, Russia and Western Europe in Q2 2014 while in China in March. Unfortunately, the company is mum about the pricing of the device.
