Nokia Treasure Tag Accessory For Lumia Devices launched; pricing $30

Nokia has launched the most anticipated accessory named Treasure Tag for Lumia devices. The Bluetooth accessory was leaked several times before and has finally gone official with the release date set to April.

If you wonder what the Treasure Tag is, the accessory is a simple Bluetooth device that can be attached to any items you value  or keys and bags and want to track its whereabouts. The tag will work paired with Lumia devices via either NFC or Bluetooth. Once the tag is paired with your Lumia device,  and if you forget your smartphone, the Treasure tag will remind you of your device by emitting an alert when you are out of the range.

In addition, thanks to the Nokia HERE Map technology and accompanying Windows phone app that will let you track your lost items. Your Lumia device can connect up to four Treasure Tags at the same time and have different icons assigned to each, so that you can access each one easily. You can also use photos instead of icons. One thing to note that the tag will only work with phones that have Nokia Black Update

The Nokia Treasure Tag measures 30 x 30 x 10mm, that is roughly the size of matchbox. Nokia Treasure Tag will be available in four different colors cyan, yellow, white and black and  is priced at $30.  In the future, iOS and Android users will also be able to use Nokia Treasure Tags via third-party apps.
