Ricoh has added couple of new cameras to its rugged series dubbed Ricoh WG-4 and WG-20. The cameras will be available in both a non-GPS and GPS models and not to mention its rugged body to withstand extreme situations.

Both cameras look sturdy with durable casing and comes with updated features as well as new name from Pentax to Ricoh.

The Ricoh WG-4 is waterproof and can be submerged in water up to 14 meters and is also shock-resistant and drop-proof from  two meters. The camera sports a  MP sensor  with an ISO of 6400. The camera has a 25-100mm f/2-4.9 lens  and promised to deliver  faster AF operation in macro shooting and enhanced image quality in underwater shooting. The Ricoh WG-4 also has a 3-inch LCD  that can tilt 170 degrees in both horizontally and vertically.

Moreover, With the WG-4, you can even record the travel log of captured image with the help of its advanced GPS system . Camera looks good for outdoor shooting, the camera also offers a pressure, altitude, and depth gauge and a digital compass. The Ricoh WG-4 will be available in silver and yellow for a price of £279.99 while the GPS versio for £329.99. The release date for the camera is set to March.

On the other hand, the WG-20 comes with even more power on its body, it is both waterproof and crush resistant up to 10 meters and two hours.

In terms of specifications, the Ricog WG-20 is built with 28-140mm lens and a 14-megapixel sensor. The camera is capable of shooting videos at 720p HD. The camera has 2.7 inch LCD and boasting an anti-reflection coating, thus perfect for outdoor shooting.

The Ricoh WG-20 will be offered in three different colors which include black, red, and white. THe company will also be releasing a number of accessories for  its new cameras including an adhesive mount, handlebar mount, suction cup mount, and a shoulder strap. The Ricoh WG-20 will be available in February for a price of for £199.
