Oppo Find 7 with QHD Display goes official; Specs, Price & Hands-on Video
Oppo has finally unveiled its most anticipated Android smartphone Oppo Find 7 at the dedicated event. The smartphone with many display pixels has an eye-catching slim form factor and design.
The device comes with a carbon fiber back of woven pattern resembling Motorola’s Droid devices back in the day. The device has a fully black front panel with no physical buttons while featuring a large screen. The Oppo Find 7 goes to the phablet category as it features a huge 5.5″ screen with narrow bezel.
The smartphone is coming with powerful features and specs inside. The device boasts a 5.5″ display of staggering QHD 2560 x 1440 pixels resolution and pixel density of 538ppi and comes protected by Gorilla Glass 3. And no worries of wet hands as the device can be operated with wet hands.
Under the hood the device is powered by a 2.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 MSM8974AC chipset exactly like its counterpart Galaxy S5 and 3GB of RAM. The smartphone also has an Adreno 330 GPU plus 32GB of internal storage with microSD card slot to further expand the memory.
When it comes to smartphone, camera is an important feature that many users care about, and the company has managed to add a 13MP camera capable of shooting videos at 4K resolution. The camera features 13MP Sony IMX214 CMOS with a F/2.0 lens and LED flash and it can also capture videos at 720 at 120fps. The Oppo has added an interesting mode called Super Zoom which lets you take 10 photos and merge them into a single 50MP image making it the first smartphone that can take 50MP images. For video call the Find 7 has a decent 5MP camera on the front.
The Find 7 packs a 3000mAh battery, and has 4G LTE support and NFC for connectivity. And users can make NFC-based payments to more than 250 POS-enabled stores.
The smartphone will also be available in a bit lower version with 1080p display and a Snapdragon 801 MSM8974AB chipset (with a quad-core Krait CPU clocked at 2.3GHz). The device will have a 2GB of RAM and 16GB of expandable internal storage. The lower model is relatively less juicy with 2800mAh battery.
The smartphone is running on Android 4.3 JellyBean with ColorOS 1.2 on top and has a nice notification feature below the display for incoming calls, unread messages and email. The smartphone comes with a new technology called VOOC, which is capable of charging the battery up to 75% in 30 minutes that is really impressive.
Both models measures 152.6 x 75 x 9.2 mm while FullHD Find 7 weighs in at 170 grams and higher-end at 173.
Finally the pricing and availability. The Oppo Find 7 with QHD display is priced at 3,498 CNY, which is roughly $565 while the lower-end Find 7 will be sold for a price of 2998 CNY that is about 480 USD. Unfortunately, you will have o wait for Find 7 with QHD display till May or June while the full HD Find 7 release date is set to March 20th.
