SteelSeries Stratus XL Wireless Gaming Controller for iOS 7 Devices launched

SteelSeries Stratus XL Wireless Gaming Controller for iOS 7 Devices

SteelSeries, the company known for its gaming controller has come up with a new controller for iOS 7 devices. The company recently unveiled a gamepad named stratus which is relatively smaller to the new one. The new gaming controller is bigger , not that huge though, just like usual gaming controllers with Xbox. The new gaming controller is named Stratus XL and promised to offer better control while playing iOS games.

Maybe the SteelSeries would suggest getting this one for your home and the smaller Stratus on-the-go unless you want to take this with you in your bag.

When it comes to the features, the new Stratus XL definitely offers almost all features that smaller one has. The device comes with a pressure sensitive D-pad, four pressure sensitive action buttons, two analog sticks, a total of four shoulder pads, and an LED indicator in the middle which shows the number of controllers connected to single device., which means that you can have multiplayer as long a the game supports.

Just like its min version, the Stratus XL is completely wireless and connects to the device via Bluetooth, no NFC please. The company has added a very helpful indicator which lets you know about the battery juice left before you drain it. The device works on two AA batteries.

Note that the controller only supports iOS 7 and probably higher. The Stratus XL is promised to work with over 300 games, so you won’t be crying for more games yet. Don’t just run yet for the device. The company hasn’t unfortunately revealed the pricing and release date for the device, but you may be able to try the controller at E3 2014 this week.
