Vertu unveils Signature Touch with Quad-core Processor & Olufsen sound

When it comes to smartphones, Vertu is the brand for luxury and this time the company has made its new device luxury not just by its build quality and price but also high-end specs inside unlike many of its previous models. The new model is dubbed Vertu Signature Touch and comes loaded with Android KitKat right out of the box.

As usual the device has a stunning look that anyone would just stare at the device because of its build quality and look even though some people may not find it so appealing but all credits go to its premium materials used to build its body. Casing of the device is made of Grade 5 titanium alloy, part of the back cover is made of calf leather, and the display is protected by a layer of sapphire crystal which is much more tougher and more expensive than the Corning Gorilla Glass.

Interestingly, each Vertu Signature Touch is claimed to be handcrafted by Single craftsman and each Vertu device will come with signature of the craftsman on its SIM holder.

In terms of specs, Vertu Signature Touch is built with Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 SoC with 2.3GHz quad-core CPU and 2GB of RAM that will keep the device smooth while multitasking. This time the company has made sure you get enough storage space for your files and data, the device comes with 64GB of internal storage that is on par with some latest Android devices out there.

Moreover, the device offers a 4.7-inch 1080p display and boasts staggering 473 pixels per inch density. On the back is 13 MP camera tuned by the experts from Hasselblad. There is also dual-LED flash as well as front-facing camera of 2.1MP. And the whole unit is powered by a pretty impressive 2,275 mAh battery that supports Qi wireless charging.

Vertu has also managed to add LTE support to the device and will work with wide array of LTE bands. The device has something more to keep its head high. The device comes with a pair of Bang & Olufsen-tuned stereo speakers which supports Dolby’s Digital Plus surround sound technology. I think at least this time Vertu has caught up to major smartphone makers making it more reasonable for its price.

Unfortunately Vertu hasn’t revealed exact pricing of the device but expected to be around £6750 ($11 300). Those who are interested in this device will be able to order Vertu Signature Touch this month.
