Acer to release CB5-311P Chromebook with NVIDIA CPU, offers 13 hours of battery life
It looks like Acer has a new addition in making to its Chromebook series, but this time with more battery life. But am wondering who wants an ARM-based device when there are plenty of Chrombooks with Intel inside as that is the norm, but yea why shouldn’t there be a change? right?. However, the company is yet to officially announce the device. The new Chromebook is dubbed Acer CB5-311P and a promotional video has appeared on Notebook Italia.
The one of selling points of the device seems to be its long-lasting battery which can last about 5 hours more than many chromebooks out there with 8 hours of battery capacity. However, the device comes with a thin chassis and touchscreen that should offer a great user experience.
In terms of specifications, the Acer CB5 Chromebook sports a 13.3 inch screen with 1366 x 768 pixel or 1920 x 1080 pixel display options. The device boasts a host of connectivity features which include 802.11ac WiFi, HDMI, USB 3.0 ports, and HDMI output.
Unlike many chromebook out there, the new device from Acer comes with NVIDIA ARM Cortex-A15 quad-core processor with 192-core Kepler graphics.
Despite the promotional videos and rumors, the pricing and availability are yet to be revealed. Anyway, check out the video below for a better look.
