Apple iPhone 6 to retain 1GB of RAM
Apple iPhone 6 is getting closer to its release. The anticipated launch date is September 9 which is roughly three weeks away. But rumors and leaks haven’t stopped coming out and here is yet another leak that may disappoint you if the RAM available on the device matters.
According to new info coming from China, the iPhone 6 may keep the same 1 GB RAM and if you have ever craved for some improvements on RAM, seeing 2 to 3 GB of RAM on some high-end Android devices, which is supposedly going to hit its peak @4GB this year, you may have to wait for “iPhone 7″and you might get .5GB RAM increased thus 1.5GB. Yea when it comes to iPhone RAM Apple hasn’t been so generous. But it is a fact that the iOS has always been good in multitasking, maybe because of this, Apple doesn’t want to increase some extra bucks for already-expensive device by boosting its memory. Considering the track record of the GeekBar source, the report should be true.
Apple iPhone 6 is expected to come in two variants, iPhone 6 with 4.7″ display and iPhone 6 or 6L with 5.5″ display, so it is quite possible that the devices may have different chipsets, and RAM in size. Recently there was a report that the devices would different batteries, a 1,810mAh capacity for iPhone 6 with 4.7″ display and 2,915mAh battery for its bigger brother iPhone 6L.
