HTC One M8 for Windows Hands-on Video

HTC has just announced its most anticipated Windows Phone 8 device HTC One M8 for Windows. The smartphone with high-end specs and premium aluminum body with curved back comes with a exact look and feel of its Android counterpart. The smartphone retains almost all features found on the “HTC One M8 for Android” inducing its Duo camera setup. HTC has even cooked up its own camera app making the device a bit different from other Windows Phone devices out there.

Unlike many Windows Phone out there, the HTC One M8 for Windows is a premium device, not only inside but also outside. The main difference here with this device from its Android counterpart is its live tiled Windows Phone 8.1 OS while offering its own unique experience that you find on Android version making it unique from other Windows Phones. One of the feature is HTC’s BlinkFeed specially designed for social site addicts which aggregates you social site accounts and feeds. The device also offers HTC’s own Sense TV app, so you no longer need a TV remote, and switching the channel has never been easier. This time the app features Microsoft’s Modern UI. Last not the least, the device features a few of the Motion Launch gestures such as double tapping in order to turn it on.

Apart  from the software tweak and different OS, the device is exactly like its Android version in both specs and design. The interesting part of that is the phone has 32GB of internal storage for all your files and microSD card slot if the memory doesn’t just alleviate your thirst for storage capacity. And the device also features the Duo camera with HTC’s own proprietary image processor.

The new device is headed to Verizon and is available on sale online starting today and will be available in stores starting tomorrow. The device is priced at $100 as a promotional offer, with a 2-year contract.

However, take a look at the Hand-on Video from PhoneArena which gives an in-depth look at the new HTC beast for Windows phone fans and feel free to drop your comment in the box below.
