Toshiba launches Chromebook CB30-007 with Bay Trail CPU, offers 10.5 Hours of Battery Life
It is not so long ago Acer launched its new Chromebook series with a staggering battery backup of 13 hours, and now it seems like time for Toshiba to launch one, packing a decent battery and specs inside. The new Chromebook is dubbed Toshiba Chromebook CB30-007 and looks similar to its previous model with Intel Celeron 2955 Haswell processor. However, the new mode is a bit lower specced and comes with Celeron N2830 Bay Trail chip.
The chromebooks are becoming more common and users are gradually but steadily showing interest in them especially students. And this growing number can certainly rival Window’s domination in the field.
In terms of specs, the Toshiba Chromebook CB30-007 is built around Intel Celeron N2830 dual-core processor and packs a 2GB of RAM, and 16GB of storage. Unfortunately, you are stuck with the 2GB RAM as it is not upgradeable. The device sports a 13.3 inch, 1366 x 768 pixel matte display.
For connectivity, there are numbers of ports and features which include a USB 3.0 port, a USB 2.0 port, an SD card reader, 802.11ac WiFi and Bluetooth 4.0. The laptop packs a 44Whr battery that is promised to last up to 10.5 hours. The Toshiba chrome OS notebook measures 12.6″ x 8.4″ x 0.76″ and weighs in 3 pounds.
Anyway, pricing for the device is yet to be revealed, but expected to be around same price as its Haswell model, despite the fact that this one is not as powerful as the other one.
