There are several tablets for that or below the price but when it comes to Windows tablets, we would have to make sure that our pocket didn’t have hole. However, in the wave of tablets and recent launch of Window 8 devices, price for Windows 8 tablets have come down to the knee.  Companies fighting each other for market share have actually been a blessing for consumers, bringing down the price of Windows 8 devices.  And if you are looking for such device under $200, you are lucky. Here are some of the best devices now sold for or under $200 which range from a Chinese-made Cube iWorks8 to Asus VivoTab Note 8.

However, you must know that you will not get all the goodies for that price or a high-end specs. I mean Best never comes cheap, but best for the price.

Cube iWork is a Chinese Windows 8 tablet with  8-inch screen and a decent design. The device is powered by an Atom Z3735E processor clocked at 1.8GHz and integrated Intel HD Graphics.

The tablet sports 8-inch 10-point IPS capacitive touchscreen with  1280×800 resolution. It also packs 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage that can be expanded via microSC card slot.

Furthermore, you get all the connectivity features you would expect on a cheap tablet like this, which include MINI HDMI port, WiFi  and Bluetooth as well as front and rear camera with 2MP each. The tablet is running on Windows 8.1 Pro, not the RT version, so you get the best for that price and the tablet is available from Newegg . Toshiba’s Encore 2 is new in the category with the same size  and resolution display like iWork8. The tablet was launched some months ago and comes with a price tag of $199 and available from Amazon and it is now available from Amazon for $179.99 that saves you $20.

The tablet looks pretty neat with round corners and it is 9.3 mm thick. The device is not the faster deice out there but offers a decent specs and features for that price.

The tablet is powered by an Atom Z3735F processor and runs on full Windows 8.1 operating system. The device packs an 8-inch display of 1280 x 800 pixel  resolution , 1GB of RAM, 32GB of storage with microSD card slot for further expansion.

Toshiba Encore also offers front and rear cameras,  1.2 and 5 MP respectively.  The device however doesn’t have an HDMI port,  but comes with WiFi connectivity and Bluetooth 4.0. The tablet packs a battery that is good for about 11 hours.

The tablet is powered by 1.3 GHz Intel Z3740 Quad-Core Processor and integrated Intel Graphics card. The device packs an 8-inch 1280 x 800 display and 2 GB RAM (DDR2) that should make multitasking smoother than other two mentioned above.

The device has 8MP of rear camera and 2MP front camera. And the company bundles the device with Windows 8.1 and Microsoft Office Home and Student 2013 Edition.

Connectivity features include 802.11 b/g/n WiFi and Bluetooth 4.0. It measures 8.46 x 5.19 x 0.31 inches and packs a battery good for 10 hours.

Note that there is no certainity when its price goes up.

The tab is  a bit thicker and built around Atom Z3740 processor and sports an 8-inch, 1280 x 800 pixel display, 2GB of RAM (DDR3), and 32GB of storage. The Encore WT also features full HD front and back cameras, 8 and 2 MP respectively.

The tablet measures 8.40 x 5.40 x 0.43 inches and packs a battery that is good for about 6 hours.

Acer Iconia W4 is  also an 8-inch device with .42-inch thickness. The device looks a bit thicker, despite neat look and feel. This may not be the fastest tablet, but offers pretty decent specs for the price.

The Iconia W7 is powered by an Intel Atom Quad-Core Z3740 1.33 GHz Processor and 2 GB of DDR3 RAM. The tablet has 8-inch 1280 x 800 pixel screen and 32GB of internal storage that can be expanded via micrSD card slot up to 64 GB.

The device also packs a front and rear camera, 5 and 2 MP respectively and ports like micro-HDMI and microUSB. The tablet offers WiFi and Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity and powering all these features is 2-Cell Li-Ion Battery.

Standing out from all the tablets here with its unique digitizer, the VivoTab 8 might be your best bet. The tablet was offered for a price of $199, but its price has gone up again to $249.98, it means you may not get the device for that price all time. And if you are lucky, its tablet may come down soon again as many new tablets are about to be launched.

Spec-wise, the tablet is almost similar to the Iconia and Miix except for its Wacom digitizer that many people who want a Galaxy Note-like experience may prefer. The device like other 2013-2014 range is powered by Intel Atom Z3740 Bay Trail quad-core processor and packs an 8-inch 1280 x 800 pixel display, 2 GB of DDR3 RAM and 32 GB storage.

The tablet also features an 5MP of rear camera and a front-facing camera for video call.

You get all the basic connectivity options like USB 2.0 port, Bluetooth 4.0 and WiFi. The device support microSD card up to 64 GB for further expansion of storage as well as unlimited ASUS WebStorage (1 year).
