BlackBerry Passport Price revealed; Release Date set to September 24

BlackBerry Passport, Price and Release Date

BlackBerry has met a huge market loss in the past few month but that hasn’t stopped the company  from introducing new smartphones in the market. After many teasers and leaks, BlackBerry seem to be set to announce its most anticipated smartphone, the BlackBerry Passport. The company revealed the plan to introduce it within a week, to be precise, on September 24. Interestingly the event is not just for unveiling the product, but also releasing, mean you will be able to grab your device starting from the day.

Although the company CEO John Chen didn’t reveal much about its availability, he did say that the device will be available, in his own word,  “a lot of places will have” the Passport, including somewhere in Asia.

Thanks to Chen, he also revealed the pricing for BlackBerry Passport so that you can start saving some money by then. The BlackBerry Passport unlocked is priced at $599 in the US and may vary depending on markets.

Mr CEO didn’t forget to brag a little about its affordability compared to many other high-end devices out there. However, it is yet to be seen this will have any effect in the market. Recently, smartphone that the company released didn’t actually make any big splash in the market, so we will have to wait and see. But am sure there are still those who love the BlackBerry devices and the new phone is certainly for those QWERTY lovers.

You can’t miss its specs, but in case. The BlackBerry will come with a a 4.5-inch 1,440×1,440 touchscreen, means Full HD that sounds good. And the processor under the hood will be  a 2.2 GHz quad-core CPU on Snapdragon 800 chipset. the Passport will also have a 13 MP rear camera with LED flash, a 2 MP front snapper and 3GB of RAM will be taking care of your multitasking, that is impressive. And there will be 32GB of storage and microSD card slot to expand it further.

Not over yet, what is so mouth-watering about  the phone is its battery. The Passport will have massive 3450mAh battery and promised to offer 36-hour life on single charge.

Moreover, the smartphone will have all the connectivity options you would expect  including 4G LTE support and will be runnig on BlackBerry  OS 10.3.

Um, from QWERTY to fully touchscreen and again back to QWERTY,   Do you like BlackBerry’s QWERTY device for which the company is well-known or its latest fully touchscreen devices like BlackBerry Z3 ?
