Canada gets Samsung Galaxy S5 Active, pricing CA$280 at Bell and Rogers
Samsung Galaxy S5 Active was AT&T exclusive when it was launched, but it seems that is no more the case and Canada is the first country after the US to feel the ruggedness of Galaxy S5 Active. The smartphone will be available from all the major carriers like Bell, Rogers and Telus.
Bell and Rogers have already got the Galaxy S5 Active in stock and is available for CA$280 with a two-year contract or CA$700 off-contract. Telus will be offering the device as of early next week, but pricing for the smartphone is to be revealed.
Basically, Samsung Galaxy S5 Active is a rugged version of the flagship Galaxy S5 . It packs similar specs. The difference between the two is its boosted protection making the Active more suitable for those who work in severe conditions.
The device comes with IP67-rating, and in addition to that, it offers military-grade MIL-STD-810G certification, means that it is resistant to salt, dust, rain, humidity, solar radiation, vibration, transport and thermal shock.
Next continent expecting the device is Europe. There was a rumor that the device would hit the Europe with a price tag of €629, so hold the breath it will be coming.
