Deal: Amazon Fire Phone gets price cut; now only $0.99
It has been merely two months since Amazon launched its most anticipated smartphone Amazon Fire Phone , but it seems like the company has got to a point where it can’t help but cut the price. The smartphone was launched with a huge expectations but it couldn’t make that splash in the market despite its features and service, and it might be the reason for this sudden price drop. It is also interesting, the new announcement came just a day before the most anticipated Apple iPhone 6 launch.
The device in the US is exclusive to AT&T and was priced at $200 on contract. With the price cut in effect, you can buy the smartphone for just $0.99 on contract on Amazon. If you don’t want to be bound to the contract , the device is available for a price of $449 off contract.
Amazon Fire Phone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor and 2GB of RAM and sports 4.7 inch, 1280 x 720 pixel display, 13MP rear camera and 2.1MP front camera. The device has 32GB of storage.
The company has also slashed the price of 64GB model and now available for price of $99 on two year contract.
Meanwhile, the company is launching the device to more markets. Amazon DE and Amazon UK will be selling the device starting September 30. However, you can pre-order the device now on its site.
The device in UK will be available via O2 on contract and will cost you £0 with plans starting at £33 a month . In Germany the device will be offered by Deutsche Telekom for €1 with a plan starting at €44.95/month.
