iOS 8 roll-out begins today
After months of testing and beta releases, iOS 8 is complete and ready to rock your iPhones and iPads. The iOS 8 release is set to today and once its ready, you should get a notification to update your iDevices.
Users with iPhone 4S and later, iPad 2 and later, any iPad mini, the iPod touch 5th generation can update their devices to the iOS 8.
The new iOS 8 is coming with a lot of new features such as Handoff which lets you sync various activities with Mac OS X Yosemite. However, the feature will only work starting next month.
And other features include new keyboard, third-party keyboard support, newly announced iCloud Drive, enhanced Apple Store and more. The iOS 8 also features a HealthKit suite that gathers all data collected from the device’s tracking apps and various third-party accessories.
You are advised to backup your all data before updating you iDevice and make sure your device has 2GB of free storage.
You can update your iPhone from within by going to Settings > General > Software updates or via iTunes. The iOS 8 release should begin at about 5PM GMT. And let us know when you are done and share you experience with us.
