Lenovo launches Edge 15 dual-mode Laptop; pricing $899
Lenovo has unveiled its latest addition to convertible device at IFA 2014. The laptop dubbed Lenovo Edge 15 dual-mode laptop is its thinnest 15-inch laptop that can be converted to a touchscreen-centric stand mode. The laptop is follow-up to its convertible devices due to growing demand and to offer convenient position as a touch device.
The Edge 15 sports a 300-degree hinge that lets you toggle the laptop between the two aforementioned modes. The device has aluminum finish and a thickness less than an inch. The system weighs in at 5lbs, which is lighter than many dual-mode laptops of this size out there.
Spec-wise, the Edge 15 has a 15.6-inch IPS Full HD display with 10-point touch support and an AccuType backlit keyboard. The laptop will be available either with an Intel Core i5 or Core i7 processor (Haswell), up to 1TB of storage, and 8GB of RAM.
Moreover, for high-resolution gaming and entertainment, you have NVIDIA GeForce GT840M or Intel HD Graphics, depending on preference. The notebook has a battery that is promised to last up to 8 hours on a single charge, and yea it may vary based on use and configuration.
