Lenovo Miix 3 launched in China; Specs and Price
Lenovo already has two 8″ Miix models and here is third one aimed at budget customers. The new low cost Windows 8.1 model comes with the same 8-inch display (in size). The tablet is launched in its home country China and may be heading to other countries soon.
In terms of specifications, the Lenovo Miix 3 is built around an Intel Atom Z3735F quad-core Bay Trail processor and 2GB of RAM. The tablet sports an HD IPS display with 1024 x 768 pixel resolution (certainly not full HD).
The tablet seems to be lower-end than its predecessor Miix 2 which has faster Intel Atom Z3740 processor, up to 64GB of built-in storage and even better display with 1280 x 800 pixel resolution.
The Miix 3 only has 32GB of internal storage and 2MP rear and front camera. The tablet packs a 15Whr battery that is good for up to 7 hours.
The Lenovo Miix 3 is priced at ¥ 1499 ($244 US), that is certainly lower than its predecessor Miix 2 with ¥ 2499 ($407 US) price tag in China. However, the price of the Miix 2 in the US is much less than the new Miix 3 price in China. There may be some variation when it launches in other countries and should be sold much cheaper than its predecessor. You may want to check these budget Windows 8.1 tablets if you are looking for one.
