Lenovo Vibe X2 and Z2 official; Specs and Price revealed
Finally Lenovo unveiled its most anticipated smartphones, Vibe X2 and Vibe Z2 at IFA 2014. The X2 is clearly the superior smartphone with high-definition display while the latter offers a brushed metal unibody design and thin form factor.
Lenovo Vibe X2
The smartphone is an outstanding device with all the features it has to offer. The device has an eye-popping design with three-layered strips of three different colors and the body is metal. That is something no other companies tried before entirely new taste. The Vibe X2 is impressively thin too at 7.27mm and and will be available in variety of colors- white, red, gold and dark grey colors.
The device is premium inside as well being world’s first 5″ smartphone to feature MediaTek’s MT6595m octa-core chip. The Vibe X2 is built around MediaTek MT6595m True8Core processor and packs a 5-inch 1080 x 1920-pixel (Full HD) IPS display, 2GB RAM, 32GB internal storage and LTE HSPA+ connectivity for faster internet.
Being the first device to feature MediaTek octa-core chip, Lenovo claims it comes with power-saving features that means longer battery life.
The device has modest 2300mAh battery and will be running on Android 4.4 KitKat with VIBE UI atop. Moreover, the company offer the device with something Lenovo calls “Xtensions”. The device’s battery is extremely thin at 5.1mm thus resulting this thin body. And it also acts as case to protect the phone.
The Lenovo Vibe X2 has tempting $399 price tag, means the company is into affordability without compromising quality. The price tag will certainly make you think twice before you get another brand in the market especially when the phone has a mouth-watering design combined with power. The Vibe X2 release date is set to September for China and October for some other countries.
Lenovo Vibe Z2
Vibe Z2 on the other hand is a relatively mid-end device in a brushed metal unibody. The massive 5.5-inch phablet has a slim form factor and boasts to feature 64-bit architecture under the hood. The device is pretty light weighing in 158g.
The Vibe Z2 is powered by a quad-core Snapdragon chip clocked at up to 1.4GHz And sports a 5.5-inch 720 x 1280-pixel, HD display, 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage.
In the camera department, the smartphone has a 13MP main unit and 8MP front-facing one like HTC’s Desire 820. The device can be ypur great selfie phone that offering high resolution images and video. The company has also added some unique features like button-free release of the shutter and new Instant On feature that loads the camera quickly from stand-by mode.
For connectivity, the device has LTE support and other usual features. In addition, the phone has dual-SIM support. The device gets juice from a massive 3000mAh battery that should keep you running all day and night.
And just like the Vibe X2, the Vibe Z2 is running on Android 4.4 KitKat with Lenovo’s Vibe UI 2.0 on top of it.
Lenovo doesn’t want to be known as very expensive in the market thus keeping its device more affordable. Lenovo Vibe Z2 is also priced reasonably at $429 off-contract. Release date for the device is in October followed by other regions like Pacific Asia, Eastern Europe and the Middle East.
