8 and 10-inch Lenovo Yoga Tablet 2 with Windows and Android released; Specs and price
As we expected, Lenovo has introduced 4 new Yoga tablets, 8 and 10 inch models with Android or Windows 8.1 OS options.
Internally, both Windows and Android tablets are same and all models feature 1920 x 1200 pixel displays and enhanced hinge that can be adjusted in different angles. The tablets can be used in different modes that include stand mode and “hang” mode.
The tablets are powered by Intel Atom Z3745 quad-core Bay Trail processor and come with an 8MP rear camera, and 1.6MP front-facing camera. The tablets also share connectivity features like 802.11n WiFi and Bluetooth 4.0 and the company will offer models with optional 4G LTE support.
The tablets will be available in two variants of storage that include 16 and 32 GB and there will be a microSD card slot to further expand the storage.
Battery life on each device varies depending on its OS.
The 8-inch models carry a 6400mAh while the 10-inch models have 9600mAh battery. According to the company, Android model will get up to 18 hours of battery life while the Windows version gets 15 hours.
The 8-inch models scale at 0.92 pounds while the 10-models weighs in at 1.36 pounds.
Lenovo has already released the 8 and 10 inch Android Yoga Tablet 2 with 16GB of storage. The 8 inch model is priced at $250 while the 10-inch model is priced at $300.
On the other hand, the 10-inch model with Windows OS and 32GB of storage is priced at $400. The 8 inch model running Windows 8 is expected to be released soon and carry $250.
