Apple’s New Retina iMac 2014 Hands-on [Video]

Apple has launched its latest All-in-One desktop “Retina iMac” with a staggering 5k , 5120 x 2880 resolution that is double the resolution of the previous iMac. The new iMac is super thin and Apple says new iMac is the first all-in-one desktop to feature 5k display.

The new iMac is as usual gorgeous and looks sleek at the first glance and features the same  tapered design that narrows to 5 mm at its thinnest point. And the real star to the new iMac is its Retina display. And you can spot the advantage of 5k resolution display and offers more crisp.

Apart from Retina display, the Retina iMac comes with new timing controller which tells the pixel when to move or where. And the new iMac should be great for professional photographers.

The iMac with Retina display comes with a 3.5GHz Intel Core i5 processor, 8GB of RAM, and a 1TB Fusion Drive. And the price for the iMac starts at  $2499 that is certainly not aimed at average users but that is clearly a lot less than high-end 4K TVs, the thing is this is full fledged computer making it a good deal. Folks at the Verge had a short time with the new iMac, take a look at the Hand-on video below and drop your comment in the box.
