Google releases New Android Lollipop Developer Preview and SDK
Google announced its latest tablets and smartphone with Android 5.0 Lollipop. But users of old Nexus devices are eager to know when they will have a chance to taste the Lollipop. As you may have already known the update for previous Nexus devices will soon be getting Android L and Google has released updated Android 5.0 Lollipop preview images for both the Nexus 5 and the 2013 Nexus 7.
The new image is third iteration of Android L and this may be the last one. And you can load the Android 5.0 preview on Nexus 5 and Nexus 7 2013 but data on your devices will be overwritten and it is advised to backup your data before you do it. However, it is yet not clear what are news in this new preview images and if you are not a developer , it I good to stay away and wait for OTA 5.0 update.
The company has also rolled out software developer kit for Android 5.0 Lollipop. And you can download Android 5.0 SDK right now and start working on your projects and getting ready for the new Android OS. Lollipop comes with with 5,000 new APIs.
