HP Pro Slate 12 and Pro Slate 8 Android Business Tablets revealed; Specs in tow

Android is well-known for its consumer side and features while it may not be an OS that many business users prefer. But HP seems to be working on couple of business offerings with Android. The company is planning to launch two new Android slates dubbed HP Pro Slate 12 and HP Pro Slate 8 and both are aimed at business users.

Both tablets offer sharp screen in different sizes, 8-inch with 2048 x 1536 pixel resolution and 12.3-inch with 1600 x 1200 pixel resolution. However don’t get confused of the name with HP Slate 8 Pro that is different one launched early this year.

Both sport Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processors, 2GB of RAM,  front-facing stereo speakers, Android 4.4 KitKat, 802.11ac WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC, front and rear cameras, and microSD card slots. That is modest specs and users should have a smooth experience on the screen and will not need to worry about running out of memory.

The slates are also compatible with  HP Duet pen which according to NotebookItalia could be a version of Qualcomm’s ultrasound pen that utilizes sound to enter text on a tablet and you will not even need to touch the screen.

The tablets also offer an array of ports which include microUSB 2.0 port with support for HDMI output with a SlimPort adapter, an audio jack, and an option for mobile data with a nanoSIM card.

The 12.3 inch model will have 37 Wh battery, and 32GB of internal storage, while the HP Pro Slate 8 7.7 inch display has 16GB of storage.
