Lenovo ThinkaPad Yoga 14 launched; Specs and Price
Today is the Lenovo event and the company has unleashed several devices ranging from 8-inch tablet to 14-inch ThinkPad Yoga 14 notebook. The company also introduced its most anticipated convertible notebook the Yoga 13 Pro at the event. New addition in the Yoga notebook series is 14-inch convertible with comparatively hefty chassis.
The ThinkPad Yoga 14 is a business laptop aimed at power users but if you are looking for a rather thin device, this may not be the right option, instead, Yoga 3 Pro may go well with your taste. However, the ThinkaPad Yoga 14 comes with sturdy magnesium alloy case and its screen can be flipped back 360 degrees.
Despite the hefty form factor, the laptop features an optional NVIDIA GeForce 840M graphics, so the laptop is worth the fat.
In terms of specs, the ThinkaPad Yoga 14 is powered by the latest Intel Core i5 Haswell processor and 8GB of RAM. The notebook sports a 14-inch IPS display with 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution and 1TB hard drive with 16GB of solid state cache.
In the connectivity department, the ThinkPad Yoga 14 has an SD card reader, 2 USB 3.0 ports, a USB 2.0 port, and HDMI output. USB 2.0 doubles as power port.
As a business laptop, the ThinkPad Yoga 14 comes with a docking connector adjacent to this power port, so you can connect it to Lenovo’s desktop docking stations with a single cable.
The laptop measures 0.7 inches thick and scales about 4.1 pounds. With the NVIDIA Graphics card, the laptop should a bit heavier.
The Lenovo Yoga 3 Pro is priced at $1200 and release date is set to late October.
