ZOTAC ZBOX MI521nano XS mini Desktop launched; features Core i3 Haswell
Zotach, known for its mini PCs has announced a new desktop on its ZBOX series, dubbed Zotac ZBOX MI521nano XS, oh yea that is mouthful. Interestingly the company this time has ditched the AMD in favor of Cor i3 Haswell processor. This is comopanys yet another device with Haswell processor. The company announced another one named ZOTAC ZBOX BI320 with Dual-core processor last month.
The mini desktop will come in two variants, barebon one with no memory or storage and a Plus model with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of SSD. Both models have 16GB of memory and feature mSATA card slots.
Other features include HDMI and mini DisplayPort, 802.11ac WiFi , Bluetooth 4.0, Gigabit Ethernet, 2 USB 3.0 ports, 2 USB 2.0 ports, and an SDXC card reader.Thjis time the company doesn’t bundle any operating system with the PC and you will have to install one and it could be any.
According to the company. these new nano series is “palm” sized. However, its AMD version is 4.2″ x 4.2″ x 1.4″ and this one should also be the same size. Anyway, pricing and availability for the device are yet to be available.
