Samsung Galaxy A5 and A3 launched in Taiwan; pricing $383, $287 respectively
Samsung announced its metal-clad Android smartphones, Galaxy A3 and Galaxy A5 a while ago but people across the world are still waiting to get their hand on the devices and here comes Taiwan. Samsung has officially launched the device in Taiwan. The company announced the availability of the devices at a press conferece held in there.
Both Android devices are now available and price starts at TWD 8,990 ($287 or €231) for Galaxy A3 while Galaxy A5 carries a price tag of TWD 11,990 ($383, €307).
The smartphones stand out from its other flagship with premium metal body and relatively thin profile. The devices with neat design out also pack a decent specs inside.
In terms of specs, the Galaxy A5 packs a 5-inch 720p Super AMOLED screen, a 13 MP rear snapper, 2GB of RAM, and a 2,300 mAh battery. It’s built around Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 chipset, with a 1.2 GHz quad-core Cortex-A53 CPU.
On the other hand, A3 is less capable offering a 4.5-inch 540×960 Super AMOLED touchscreen, an 8 MP camera at the back with LED flash, a 5 MP front camera, and a 1,900 mAh battery. It’s powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 chipset, with a 1.2 GHz quad-core Cortex-A53 CPU, coupled by 1.5GB of RAM. There’s 16GB of storage inside. The smartphones run on Android 4.4.4 KitKat.
