Dell’s New XPS 13 Ultrabook released; Specs and Price
Dell has taken the wrap off its new gadgets at CES 2015. Starting with thin and nearly bezel-less laptop looks a good start. XPS 13 is one of its flagships and this time comes smaller and thinner while ensuring power inside.
The new Dell XPS 13 is just 0.6 inches thick and weighs in at 2.6 pounds. The bezel-less design gives it an aesthetic look that grabs your attention. In addition to its neat design, the laptop measures just 12″ x 7.9″ x 0.6″.
In terms of specs, the Dell XPS 13 2015 ultrabook model comes with 13.3-inch display with thin bezel that the company claims offers a 11-inch model’s mobility with 13-inch high-resolution screen. The entry model comes with a 1920 x 1080 pixel screen while XPS 13 with 3200 x 1800 pixel touchscreen is also offered. Both models utilize IPS technology for its screens and promised to offer 170 degree viewing angles and 400-nit brightness.
Under the hood, there is optional Intel Core i3, Core i5, and Core i7 Broadwell processors, up to 8 GB of RAM, 128GB to 512GB of solid state drive and 52 Whr battery that can last up to 15 hours of run time that is really appreciated. Moreover, there is optional Dell Power Companion that boost run time up to additional 8 hours.
For connectivity, the Dell XPS 13 have 802.11ac WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, two USB 3.0 ports, mini DisplayPort and an SD card reader. And there is also a backlit keyboard.
Dell XS 13 is available on sale starting today. The notebook is sold for a starting price of $800.
