HTC One X9 goes official in China; Specs and Price

After numerous leaks and rumors, HTC has finally taken the wrap off of its latest Android smartphone HTC One X9. The company unveiled the device in China and is priced at 2399 yuan ($370).

The device is actually a premium version of A9 with the design of the back being almost similar to A9 and a similar aluminum unibody with round corners while the positioning of the camera at the back of the device slightly resembles Huawei Nexus 6P. And another going back from the simplistic design form factor it adopted for its previous devices include capacitive buttons immediate below the screen, the design of the speakers, and the plastic band. However, overall design looks decent, a mixture of modern and traditional design.

In terms of specs, the smartphone is powered by MediaTek Helio X10 processor coupled with 3 GB of RAM. It sports a 5.5-inch 1080p display, a 13 megapixel camera with OIS and 4K video on the back and UltraPixel camera on the front. Oddly there is no fingerprint sensor on the device despite its overall superiority compared to A9 specification.

The device also features HTC’s BoomSound speakers which appear to be in the upper and lower bezel and has 32GB of built-in storage that can be expanded via microSD card slot that reportedly supports up to staggering 2TB of storage (?).

The package is powered by a 3000mAh non-removable battery and the company says that it is compatible with 5V / 1.5A fast-charging. The device measures 153.9 x 75.9 x 7.99 mm and offers a screen-body ratio  of 71.38%.

The software on the device is a mystery but we assume Android 6.0 Marshmallow considering the OS running on A9.

Considering the price of the One X9, it is cheaper than its One A9 that is currently priced at at 2799 Yuan in China ($432). The release date of the device however is yet to be revealed but should on sale soon.
