More Details on LG G5 emerge; to feature secondary Display, Magic Slot

LG’s upcoming flagship Android smartphone LG G5 is in the pipeline and rumors regarding the device have already started to surface. According to a new report from VentureBeat the secondary display which LG first introduced with LG V10 will also make it onto LG G5. LG is reportedly set to introduce a series of smartphones with such 160 x 1040 pixel resolution display in 2016.

If rumors are true, the flagship LG smartphone will also have a dual camera at the back, which will add a 135-degree wide-angle capability to the 16 MP rear camera. The camera will be positioned with a circle and a quartet of elements in between the two lenses. Two of the elements are LED Flash lights, while another one, a laser for assisting with autofocus which was first deployed on 2014 LG G3.

Moreover, the LG G5 will also feature what the report calls a Magic Slot. Yup which will acts exactly like you might have imagined. The slot can be used to add some additional functions with hardware modules, which the source says range from an array of specified cameras — action, 360 VR — to an audio amplifier to a physical keyboard.

This is certainly not official specs and the final product may differ a bit from what we know now. 3GB of RAM and 2800mAh battery don’t add up to the current standard of high-end smartphone. Fans across the world should definitely be expecting minimum of 4GB of RAM and 3000mAh battery. However, LG might be trying to cut the manufacturing cost thus the price for the device in the market making the device more preferable over other devices.

Unfortunately there is no details on price and availability but the report says LG G5 will be released Q1 2016.
