Zotac launches ZBOX MI551 mini PC with Skylake processor; Specs in tow.
Intel recently upgraded its NUC mini computer with 6th Gen Skylake processor and it seems that more companies are jumping on the bandwagon. This time comes the Zotac with Zotac ZBOX MI551 powered by Intel Skylake processor.
The mini computer has a neat mini form factor and is offered as both user-customizable and Plus models. Plus models are offered with built-in storage and memory while the other model is a barebone system which users will have to fit with their own storage, memory, and operating system.
The Plus model comes with 4GB Of RAM and 120GB of solid state storage, but no operating system. And integrated Intel HD Graphics 530 should offer a decent multimedia experience.
Zotac ZBOX MI551 also offers a host of other features. In terms of specs, the mini PC offers 2 DisplayPort jacks with support for 3840 x 2160p resolutions at 60 Hz, 1 USB 3.1 Type C port, 2 USB 3.0 ports, 1 USB 2.0 port, Infrared port, SDXC card reader, 2 Gigabit Ethernet ports, 2.5″ SATA drive slot, M.2 SATA SSD slot and 2 DDR3L-1600 SODIMM slots for up to 16GB of RAM. For wireless connectivity, there are 802.11ac WiFi and Bluetooth 4.0.
