Everything is getting smaller and smaller but that doesn’t mean you compromise horsepower inside the device, for instance, take a look at this new Intel Compute Stick, smaller yet powerful. Intel unveiled the new models at CES 2016 and will be offering three models with different specifications at launch and all will come with latest Intel Skylake processor inside.

The new models include Intel Compute Stick STKMV64CC with a Core M5-6Y57 vPro processor, STKM3W64CC, and STKM with Core M-6Y30 chips.

Other specs include 4GB of RAM, an HDM 1.4 B connector, an SDXC card reader with support for up to 128GB of external storage, and a USB 3.0 port. There are also two extra USB 3.0 ports on the 5V, 4A power adapter.

For wireless connectivity Intel Compute Stick features dual-band 802.11ac WiFi, and Bluetooth 4.0.

Intel says all new model will be offered with Windows 10 or with no operating system at all and the good news is that new Compute Sticks also support Linux.

Intel Compute Stick Core M series measures 4.5″ x 1.5″x 0.5 that is half an inch longer than its predecessor.

Unfortunately there is no pricing and exact release date but according to the company, Intel’s 2nd-gen Compute Stick should be available in the Q1 2016.
