Acer is finally introducing its first Windows 10 smartphone ahead of CES 2016. Dubbed Acer Liquid Jade Primo has been in the rumor mill for a while and now the company is set to release the device. Customers in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa will be able to buy the Liquid Jade Primo starting in February.

Acer Liquid Jade Primo is an upper mid-end device with round corners and shiny body.  The device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor coupled with 3GB of RAM. The device has a 5.5 inch 1920 x 1080 pixel AMOLED display, 21 MP of camera and 8 MP front-facing shooter.

Acer Liquid Jade Primo is the third phone that supports Microsoft’s Continuum for phones software, which also means first non-Microsoft device with Microsoft’s Continuum support. First devices to support Microsoft Continuum are Microsoft Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL.

With the display dock connected, you can interact with mobile apps on your phone as well as Universal Windows apps such as Word, Excel, Outlook, and the Edge web browser on your desktop display. The apps automatically scales to fit the screen and Start Screen functions like a Start Menu on the big screen, and there’s a taskbar for quickly navigating between different apps.

Customers can buy the device with Display Dock, or a “desktop kit”  which bundles with the Display Dock plus a mouse and keyboard.

Acer Liquid Jade Primo is priced at €569 making the device a little more expensive than expected. However, the price and release date for the device in the US hasn’t yet been announced.
