E Fun’s first Laptops, Nextbook 14 and 11.6 announced ahead of CES 2016; Specs and Price

A few days ago eFun introduced its budget dual-booting Windows 10 tablets. It seems that the company has more at its disposal for this CES 2016 and this time the company is taking one step ahead to notebook space from its usual budget tablet arena.

The new device is budget E Fun Nextbook 14 and 11.6 laptops. The Nextbook 14 comes with 14-inch display while the other one offers 11.6-inch display with convertible hinge. The Nextbook 11.6 display can be turned around 360º  and use it like a tablet and it comes with touchscreen.

In terms of specs, both laptops are built around Intel Atom x5-Z8300 Cherry Trail processors and 2GB of RAM. The laptops features 1366 x 768 pixel IPS displays and for connectivity there are USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 ports, WiFI, and Bluetooth, and micro HDMI ports.

Unlike usual laptops with a lot of storage space, Nextbook 14, and Nextbook 11.6  only have 32GB and 64 of storage respectively. That is a lot less than many modern smartphones and you may need to depend on external hard drives.

On the software side, the laptops will ship with Microsoft’s latest OS, Windows 10.

“Building off the success of our Nextbook tablet and detachable lines, we are thrilled to enter the consumer laptop category in 2016,” stated Jason Liszewski, managing director and VP of sales for E FUN. “This introduction is the next step for E FUN to continue bringing innovative new products to market at a price point that resonates with consumers.”

The laptops are priced at $200 for Nextbook 14 and $270 for Nextbook 11.6 and both laptops are scheduled to release in Q2 2016, an exact release date is not available though.
