HP launches 2016 EliteBook Notebooks, Folio G1, 1040 G3 and 800 G3; Specs and Price

Hours ahead of CES 2016 HP has taken the warp off of its new Business laptops on its Elitebook series. The new notebooks include both business class and 2-in-1. HP EliteBook Folio laptop, a third-gen EliteBook 1040 notebook and a third-gen EliteBook 800 lineup with a range of display options.

HP Elitebook Folio G1 is a compact notebook with less than  half an inch thick and weighs less than 2.2 pounds. The notebook boasts a CNC aluminum case and a durable MIL-STD tested body, sleek and shiny as it sounds.

The laptop is offered with optional 3840 x 2160 pixel display and a touchscreen display and packs Core M5 or Core M7 processors under the hood. The Elitebook Folio G1 will come with 8GB of RAM, and up to 256GB of solid state storage.

The system also sports a host of ports including two Thunderbolt 3/USB Type-C ports and wireless connectivity option such as 802.11ac WiFi and Bluetooth 4.2.

The Folio G1 has a hinge that lets you fold the screen down 180 degrees and powering the whole package is a 38 Whr battery.

Pricing for the Elitebook Folio G1 starts at $999  and release date is scheduled to March 2016.

Up next is HP Elitebook 1040 G3, despite the fact that it is slightly heavier, the laptop packs a more powerful specs under the hood.

The EliteBook 1040 will be offered with up to a Core i7 Skylake processor, and up to 16GB of RAM. The laptop sports a 14 inch display with optional 1920 x 1080 pixel or 2560 x 1440 pixel of resolutions, two USB 3.0 ports, a USB Type-C port, and an HDMI port.

HP Elitebook 1040 G3 has a starting price of $1199 and is expected to go on sale later this moneth.

Last but nopt least HP EliteBook 800 G3, is a business laptop with several options for its display to choose from. The laptop will be offered with 12.5 inch, 14 inch, and 15.6 inch displays, which comes in full HD, quad HD, or Ultra HD resolutions.

Customers can choose for Intel’s 6th-gen Skylake processor for all these notebooks. The laptops are 10 percent thinner and 13 percent lighter than its last year’s models.

The new HP EliteBook 800 G3 laptops are set to release this month and will carry a starting price tag of $949.
